Topics of Interest
SOSORT welcomes abstracts on the following topics related to scoliosis and other structural spinal disorders.
To improve the scientific quality of the meeting, the?Scientific Committee?has prepared a list of key content metrics (see below). Abstract submitters are strongly encouraged to align their work with these metrics.
- Etiology and pathogenesis
- Conservative treatment: screening, assessment, treatment, and outcomes
- Imaging and other diagnostic or assessment tools
- Health-related quality of life and patient-reported outcome measurements
- Pre- and post-operative care for scoliosis and structural spine disorders (excluding studies focused solely on the effect of surgeries)
- Healthcare systems, policies, and screening models for scoliosis and spine disorders
- Telehealth, technology, digital health, and apps used in conservative care
Guidelines for Abstract Submission
- Abstracts must be written in?English.
- The?title?should be concise (≤ 300 characters).
- The?body?must not exceed?450 words?and should include the following sections:
- Background
- Objectives
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
Additional details:
- A maximum of?one (1) table or figure?may be included.
- Avoid using brand names.
- If your research involves human subjects, you must confirm that you received institutional approval for human subjects research.
- To be considered for a?SOSORT Award, check the relevant box during submission.
- Select whether you wish your abstract to be considered for?podium,?poster, or?either.
- After submission, you will receive confirmation of successful upload or notice of missing elements.
Notification of acceptance?will be sent by?February 13, 2026.
If accepted, you will be informed whether your abstract is selected for a?podium?or?poster?presentation.

The?presenting author?must register, pay the registration fee, and attend the?SOSORT 2026 World Congress in Turin, Italy.
Submission Eligibility and Information
Both?SOSORT members?and?non-members?may submit abstracts.
Eligible works include:
Clinical trials, cohort and case-control studies, case series
Epidemiology, health services, economic evaluations
Systematic reviews and meta-analyses
Abstracts must describe?original work not previously presented?at a SOSORT meeting.
Abstracts may be submitted for?podium,?poster, or?either.
There is?no limit?to the number of abstracts per author. However, a maximum of?3 podium presentations per presenter?may be selected.
If multiple submissions cover the same data from one group, only the most relevant will be accepted for presentation.
