亞太風濕病協會聯盟（APLAR）于1963年在悉尼成立，原是澳大利亞、印度、日本和新西蘭四個國家成立的SEAPAL（東南亞和太平洋地區抗風濕病聯盟），隨著不斷的發展，后改名為亞太風濕病協會聯盟（APLAR）。APLAR隸屬于ILAR（國際風濕病協會聯合會）。APLAR由亞洲太平洋地區各國的風濕病學學會組成，現包括30個國家風濕病協會成員，APLAR所覆蓋的地理區域從大洋洲的新西蘭一直延伸到中東的約旦，通過會員協會代表25,000多名風濕病學家，是亞太地區最具影響力的風濕病學專業機構之一。APLAR致力于在亞太地區宣宣傳和促進風濕病學科的發展工作。APLAR出版“APLAR風濕病學”雜志，并每年組織亞太地區最具影響力的風濕病學大會。

Abstract submission guidelines
Outlined below are the guidelines that must be followed when submitting your work to APLAR 2026.?
- All submissions must be in English. English is the official congress language and all presentations must also be in English
- Submission titles must not be longer than 20 words and must clearly indicate the nature of the presentation
- Submissions must not exceed 400 words, be clear and concise, highlight relevant aspects, findings and conclusions
- Only standard abbreviations may be used within submissions
- References are not required for submissions
- The abstract title, section headings and references are not included in the overall word count
- Abstracts should follow the following format
- Background/Purpose: background or statement of purpose
- Methods: methods, materials and analytical procedure used
- Results: summary of the results in sufficient detail to support conclusion (we do not recommend including “results will be discussed”)
- Conclusion: conclusions reached
- Tables, graphs and images are permitted within submissions (maximum 2)
- What is an encore presentation?
An encore presentation is one where you have already presented the submitted work before. For example if you have presented the work at another rheumatology event.
- Does APLAR 2026 accept encore presentations?
- Yes we do accept encore presentations
- Encore presentations are permitted as long as work has been presented after APLAR 2025 (3 – 7 September 2025)
- Encore presentations are permitted as long as work has not previously been published prior to submission
- Encore submissions are required to disclose the name and date of the event where it has been presented
- Original abstracts are strongly recommended

Abstracts can be submitted for either oral or poster presentations.
Oral presentations
Oral presentations will be asked to present an oral presentation at the congress including a PowerPoint presentation and Q&A with the audience.
Poster presentations
Poster presentations will be asked to present a traditional physical poster display.
The APLAR Executive Committee and Korean College of Rheumatology extend their warmest welcome to you for the 28th Asia-Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology Congress in Seoul.
The congress will be held from 28 October 2026 (Wednesday) to 1 November 2026 (Sunday) at the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center in Seoul, South Korea, Republic of Korea. It will be a celebration of not just the fantastic hospitality and welcoming nature of our Korean colleagues, but also the perfect location to bring together the whole of our cohort of colleagues from across the Asia-Pacific region.
We hope that this congress marks both a unique and personal experience for attendees, in Seoul as our world-class host city, as well as another milestone in APLAR’s efforts to bridge communication and culture barriers for rheumatologists, physicians, nurses, researchers, and allied health professionals working to understand and fight rheumatic diseases across the breadth of the Asia-Pacific region.
The congress will draw on international, regional, and local Korean speakers to provide world-class research, scientific, and medical content for our attendees. The APLAR 2026 Congress theme will be reflected through the scientific program, harnessing amazing recent growth in the number of high-quality abstract submissions for the APLAR congress, and pairing this with the strengths of a local program supported by luminaries from the Korean College of Rheumatology.
We eagerly anticipate your presence in South Korea in October 2026, as we embark on another milestone in our collective journey toward a better understanding and management of rheumatic diseases in our region. We look forward to welcoming you to Seoul in October 2026.
